Morro Group, Inc., incorporated in April l984, specializes in environmental
document preparation, construction and mitigation monitoring, preparation
of revegetation plans and implementation of monitoring and revegetation
programs. Two principals, Mary Reents and Bill Henry, head this firm and
personally manage all Morro Group projects. The principals and staff form
a nucleus of experienced professionals while local sub-consultants provide
specialized services on an as-required basis. This mode of operation minimizes
overhead and makes use of local technical expertise.
ABILITIES
Since CEQA is California's most important environmental law, a key goal of the firm is to assist in ensuring that projects address CEQA requirements. We have prepared numerous initial studies, mitigated negative declarations and Environmental Impact Reports (EIRs), Mitigation Monitoring Plans and Notices of Preparation under CEQA Guidelines. In addition, Morro Group / SWCA has prepared combined CEQA and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents and federally-related environmental reports, such as Environmental Assessments (EAs), Environmental Impact Statements (EISs), wetlands mitigation plans, habitat conservation plans and preliminary environmental analysis reports.
Morro Group / SWCA’s revegetation and compliance monitoring experience includes the planning and management of monitoring teams, seed collection, plant propagation (including endangered or listed plant species) and the revegetation and restoration of native habitats. The firm also is experienced in the protection of federal or state endangered, threatened and listed plants and animals, and we specialize in the identification of habitat, location and protection of these species.
